Walk for Wishes is a nationwide Make-a-Wish fundraiser that supports granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. It’s a family-friendly event powered by wish families, volunteers, companies, donors, and friends. By joining this caring community of people and walking annually at the Detroit Zoo, Team 469 helps ensure that no child waits even one unnecessary day to experience the hope and joy that a wish brings.

When the COVID-19 pandemic started, we did not want to be held back, so we teamed up with FRC Team 573 Mech Warriors to write an At-Home Scavenger Hunt and promoted it to all we could through the Make-a-Wish program. This way, everyone could participate from home to walk for a cause near and dear to the spirit of our team!
