Las Guerrillas has always provided summer workshops for students, but the COVID-19 pandemic had us retool our mode of teaching. We ended up creating hybrid summer workshops for students in 2020 and 2021. We began virtually, keeping the curriculum to CAD and Programming, but as more was learned about the virus, and immunization became more widely available, we asked ourselves, “Why should we just stop here?”
Since that second summer of the pandemic, we have added more workshops and training as we’ve transitioned back to in-person. Workshops are now available in-season as well as in the offseason. Students are taught how to use machinery, mechanical design, and electrical skills… all by our experienced mentors. Our workshops include:
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Programming
- Strategy
- Machinery
- Mechanical Design
- Electrical Skills
- Physics and Motor Selection
